Ramadhan -Buka Bersama SMA 90 Pesanggrahan

Ramadhan has often been called the holy month, where all of our moslem friends fast not only from drinking , eating , but also anger, smoking etc. It is a time to be patient and respectful towards each other and also a time to rekindle friendship and relationships with our loved ones . This fasting month the IND.USTRIE Team were estatic to have met so many people from various backgrounds and places.

One of the recent highlights was, when we were entrusted to host an SMA 90 - Pesanggrahan highschool reunion. It is true that the best-est of friends are the ones that does not have to see each other everyday , but when they do see each other it seems like not a day have passed between them. It was heartwarming to see all the laughter and chatter being exchanged with one another. Sometimes a reunion could be nerve wrecking for some , but that night we could just see it in their eyes; how these men and women have grown up and respect one another, and how highschool drama are kept in year books not hearts.

It has been quite an experience for all of us in IND.USTRIE, as most recalls highschool as the best time of our life. As we get older and wiser we should realize that those days have passed, we have evolved and TODAY, Right Now should be the best day of our life.

Jakarta Cullinary Passport

These past few months we have been very busy from preparing our new line of sweets at the shop, through to our first interviews at a renown lifestyle magazines in Indonesia. One of the most exciting things to hit off the Mid Year madness is being invited to join The Jakarta Cullinary Passport - Grand Indonesia. We are so honored to have been placed amongst the best cullinary finds in Jakarta. Held yearly the Jakarta Cullinary Passport attracts more than 10.000 visitors each day it is opened. For only four days we were able to meet  the people behind our instagram likes and Facebooks thumbs up along with a bunch of famous faces and awesome foodies. Some of them are Ersa Mayori, Fitri Tropica, Alika,Thomas Djhorgi, Jovial Andalopez, @myfunfoodiary @jakartainfood @cnlulaby and a whole loads more. Being the new kid on the block was overwhelming as well as exhilarating , because you never know what to expect each day you are there. Thankfully all the neighbours are supportive and very friendly we could never ask for a better pilot event. As the crowd has spoken our Crispy Wontons are most sought after along with our Popcorn Chicken and to freshen up a selection of Indonesian Flavor Drinks IND.USTRIE Shake, Afrocado and Tropical Tea. Our proudest moment would have been the first time all of our items are sold out - which is not a stranger after the first day . We are grateful to have been entrusted in representing the Indonesian Street flavor, and We hope you have too. The IND.USTRIE TEAM cannot wait to see you at our next event!!

Turning 17

Age may just be another number,

But for a lot of cultures turning 17 is the right of passage to adulthood. This is the time when one becomes responsible of our actions, attain our first driving license ,graduate from high school and in certain cases become legal to a lot of things. For a girl it is their chance to tell the world that they are becoming a strong young woman, ready to take on this world. This April we had the privilege to meet one of the sweetest young lady and prepare her once in a life time celebration. Fitting with the vintage theme, it is out with the old in with the new. Ms Dhellya's  favorite colours are pink and blue, just like her beautiful dress that night,l our space was transformed into a little shabby chic stage. 

When the guests started to arrive you could feel the excitement level rising up in the room, also the amount of love and care that they have for the Birthday Girl. The climax of the event was when a compilation of videos from Ms. Dhellya's personal collections and messages from her closest friends played on the big screen. It was almost magical, as you were transported into her childhood memories and at that moment you just knew how precious her presence is in her family. It was an honour for us to be able to share that special moment with you . Happy Sweet 17th Ms. Dhellya.
